Tablescape Styling

As a young girl I always loved being tasked with setting the table, whether for a simple family dinner or a fun dinner party. Playing around with different color matches, mixing patterns, introducing textures, and coming up with unique centerpieces has always been a lot of fun for me. The use of these elements is what really creates a unique ambiance for all who are pulling up a seat.

I am a firm believer in taking time in your day to enjoy the little things, and for me, one way I like to do that is by having fun with the way a meal is served and enjoyed. When setting the table I like to start with one key element that I really want to use. From here I then begin to build off of this. For example, I am head over heals for all things Ginori. I knew I wanted to use this Ginori Voliere dish set. Since the dishes are so elegant and interesting in and of themselves, I knew the other elements I was to bring in needed to be soft and complimentary to these in order to let them stand out. Pulling in a soft linen tablecloth, with soft pink hues in the glassware and simple florals, along with a touch of texture in these woven napkin rings all really brought this tablescape together.
